Esmech is committed to operate its business in an ethical and also in an empathetic manner. The improvement of the living standards of the society in which we operate, is an important part of the value system of Esmech.

The Wada workshop of the company is located in a rural area, having a considerable presence of traditional tribal societies. There is a lot that can be done to bring about upliftment of the people in the area. Esmech is happy to employ its financial, managerial and technical resources to do its bit in this endeavour.

The Wada area is also an eco-sensitive zone, having a good green cover and a large number of lakes. Carrying out of business in a manner that does not pollute the eco system is also a corporate responsibility which Esmech considers very important.

Other than this particular geographic area of Wada, Esmech is also happy to support social upliftment causes in the fields of education, healthcare, child nutrition, womens welfare, vocational skilling and sports.

Policy brief & purpose

Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) company policy refers to our responsibility toward our environment. Our company’s existence is not lonely. It’s part of a bigger system of people, values, other organizations and nature. The social responsibility of a business is to give back to the world just as it gives to us. Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) company policy outlines our efforts to give back to the world, (especially the part not as privileged as ourselves) as it gives to us.

Scope

This policy applies to our company and its subsidiaries.

Policy elements

We want to be a responsible business that meets the highest standards of ethics and professionalism. Our company’s social responsibility falls under two categories: Operational compliance and Social proactiveness.

Compliance refers to our company’s commitment to legality and willingness to observe community values. Proactiveness is every initiative to promote human rights, help communities and protect our natural environment.

Social Proactiveness

Our company shall endeavour to make a positive intervention in activities related to alleviation of the needy sections of society. It will also do so in activities related to the social, educational, scientific or environmental progress of the society.

Our company recognises that it does not possess the skills to carry out direct intervention work towards its Corporate Social responsibility goals. However, there are a number of organisations actively doing work in these areas, whom our Company shall support in terms of finances and resources.

Our company will make monetary donations, or donation of resources to organisations carrying out direct social interventions in the geographic regions in which the company’s operations are active. These donations will aim to:

• Advance the arts, education, sports, health, community events, scientific research or any other activities which are in the nature of social progress.
• Alleviate those in need.

Our company shall select organisations worthy of its support, using experts in the field of philanthropy, so as to ensure that its funds and resources are put to genuine use, and who shall also follow up on the effectiveness of these activities.

CSR committee

Our company shall form a CSR committee comprising two of its resident directors viz., Mr Suresh Joshi and Mr Vijay Joshi. The CSR committee shall actively look for worthy social causes and organisations who are engaged in related developmental activities. The committee shall review various proposals received and select specific proposals. The committee shall also review follow up reports received for projects which are funded by our company to ensure that the funds are being put to good use.
